Police in Meru County are holding an Isiolo MCA over alleged involvement in cattle theft.
Reports indicate that the influential MCA was arrested Tuesday afternoon and is currently detained at Ruiri police station for questioning.
“It is true the MCA has been arrested over alleged involvement in livestock theft,” one of the officers who did not want to be named said.
It however remains unclear how many animals the MCA, who reportedly lives in Meru, was caught in possession of but sources revealed that the incident happened on Meru side.
The unknown number of stolen cows were reportedly found amongst the MCA’s herd.
