Police in Kaimosi, Nandi County are holding a man who hacked to death his elder brother following an argument over Sh10 debt owed to one of them.
According to their mother who reported the incident, the two had picked up a quarrel before descending on each other with kicks and blows.
The 28-year-old Brian Mwale Ilondanga then picked a panga which he used to fatally injure his elder brother.
Efforts by the neighbors to rescue the victim proved futile as he passed away due to excessive bleeding during the Friday morning incident.
Mr Mwale will be arraigned next week.
