Police in Nairobi are holding a man suspected to have murdered his boss in a farm in Ngong last month.
Ms Beatrice Kariuki, 58, is said have visited his Kibiko farm where the suspect, Kelvin Matindo, worked but never returned.
Her husband, Ken Kariuki, told police he had received a text message from the victim minutes before 4PM saying she was dying before her phone immediately went off.
When he called the farm-hand, he told him the wife had not visited the farm that day.
Mr Kariuki is said to have alerted the neighbors who upon searching found her lifeless body tied with a rope with her legs and arms tied on the bed in the suspect’s room.
According to police reports, the suspect discarded the victim’s sim card and begun using her handset making tracking easier. He was arrested in Nairobi town on Monday.
He will be arraignment on Tuesday (tomorrow) over murder.
