Nairobi Deputy Governor Anne Kananu has been sworn in after close to one year legal battles with ex-Governor Mike Sonko.
She becomes the third Nairobi Governor and first female City boss.
She took oath of office in a ceremony presided over by Justice Lilian Mutende.
Mr Sonko’s application challenging Ms Kananu’s swearing in was last week struck out by the Supreme Court paving way for the Tuesday exercise that was done at KICC building.
