Two people including a first-time elected Isiolo’s Chari MCA have been arrested with a consignment of bhang said to be worth millions of shillings.
The two were arrested by officers from Transnational Organized Crimes Unit after they raided a home in Kambi Garba Thursday evening.
A white land cruiser Reg No. KDG 034G was also confiscated during the operation.
The suspects have been escorted to DCI headquarters for further interrogation awaiting arraignment.
The arrest come amid rising cases of drug and substance abuse in the region.
The matter was reported at Isiolo Police station vide OB No 52/21/12/23.
