Isiolo Governor Abdi Ibrahim Hassan Guyo has instructed County Executive members to closely work with MCAs for realization of more development for residents.
Mr Guyo said unity of purpose between the executive and the lawmakers would work to the benefit of the residents who he said deserved quality services.
“All of you must work hand in hand with the MCAs so that the electorates can benefit,” he noted.
After the county executives were sworn in Tuesday evening, Governor Guyo directed the CECMs to be reporting to work at 7am so encourage junior staff.
“If you do not get to work early what do you expect of your juniors? I will sack anyone who does not prioritize the interests of the people,” Mr Guyo warned.
The newly sworn in County Secretary Mr Dade Boru was ordered to convene the first cabinet meeting tomorrow (at 6am) to chart way forward in terms of services and development the residents needed.
“We need a functioning county government and we shall not allow anyone joke with the needs of our people,” said Mr Guyo.
The six CECs are Dr Lawrence Mwongela (Tourism, Trade, Cooperatives and Enterprise Development), Abdullahi Banticha (Finance), Aileen Kajuju (Education, Youth, Sports, Culture and Social Services) and Alio Wario Sarite of Water, Sanitation and Energy.
Others are Yussuf Mohamed Galgalo (Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Special Programs) and Yusuf Dahir of Land, Physical Planning, Roads, Transport and Urban Development.
Reports indicate that Deputy Governor James Lowasa will be in charge of the Health docket previously occupied by Mr Wario Galma.
