Tension is high at Kandebene within Isiolo-Meru border following killing of a woman by suspected camel herders from Isiolo.
Reports indicate that the woman was shot dead after she confronted some herders for allegedly grazing the camels at her farm.
Three herders have been arrested in connection to the incident and over 170 camels confiscated.
Tigania West Police Commander Robinson Lagat confirmed the arrest even as residents on Meru side asked the government to end the attacks.
The clashes between Meru farmers and Isiolo herders have claimed tens of lives in the recent past.
