Embattled Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza is on the spot over irregular recruitment of staff.

The county boss has been flagged by the anti-graft agency for employing her two sisters and husband Murega Baichu as the Patron to Meru Youth Service.

EACC has already written to the Governor to respond to the queries that also include allowing her husband to attend county meetings and issue orders to staff.

Ms Mwangaza is also accused of ordering the county staff to campaign for her family’s Baite TV that was instrumental in her campaigns.

Her Homabay counterpart Gladys Wanga has also been flagged for appointing 11 advisors against the required three and irregularly creating new positions.

EACC boss Twalib Mbarak said Governors must follow the law or risk arrest and prosecution.
