Nandi MCAs have appealed to Governor Stephen Sang to allocate Sh100 million towards completion of new Assembly building whose completion has delayed for eight years.

The Sh600 million building whose construction started during pioneer Governor Dr Cleophas Lagat requires more funds for its final touches that includes installation of furniture and electronics.

The facility has adminstrative offices and those for the Members of the County Assembly (MCAs).

The delay, according to MCAs, was occasioned by cash crunch challenges.

County Assembly Finance Committee Chair Walter Teno said they will ensure the money is factored in the budget to enable them comfortably discharge their roles.

New Speaker Philemon Melly said he will push for completion of county’s stalled projects to enable residents access crucial services.
