Isiolo Minority Communities (M37) leader Jackson Kengere is dead.
Reports indicate Mr Kengere passed on last evening at one of the hospitals in Isiolo where he had been admitted following short illness.
Isiolo residents and leaders eulogized him as a defender for the marginalized groups and minority tribes in the county.
“He championed for the rights of the minority tribes including employment and involvement in decision making,” Ali Hassan shared on Facebook.
Susan Mwikali said Kengere never shied away from speaking the truth and speaking out his heart.
“He never feared castigating the county government and elected leaders over poor development and unfulfilled promises. May he rest in peace,” she said.
Burial preparations are underway.
We at The Press Point condole with Mr Kengere’s family and pray that God grants family and friends peace at this difficult time.
