ODM Leader and likely Azimio Presidential candidate Raila Odinga has been summoned by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission over alleged hate speech remarks.
Mr Odinga made the remarks during Wednesday’s meeting in Wajir County.
“We want Mr Odinga to respond to remarks he made in Wajir. He mentioned Madoadoa which is considered hatespeech term in Kenya,” NCIC Chair Dr Samuel Kobia said.
The commission reiterated its commitment to dealing with all forms of hatespeech to ensure peaceful electioneering period and a cohesive nation.
