One student has died and several others injured after a latrine at Nyabondo Boys High School in Kisumu collapsed.
The team, including a Form one student, had gone to relieve themselves in the evening when the unfortunate incident happened.
Reports indicate that efforts by the county government rescue team to rescue the students bore little fruit as the form one minor had already lost his life.
Local leaders led by Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong’o have called for speedy investigation into the matter.
