Residents of Katitika village in Murang’a County were Sunday treated to a rude shock of triple tragedy after a woman poisoned her two daughters aged two and five years before leaving behind a five-page suicide note blaming domestic challenges she had been encountering.
The 26-year-old woman was last seen by villagers sweeping her compound yesterday morning before the three bodies were recovered in the house later in the day.
Kakuzi Deputy County Commissioner Angela Mutindi Makau said the woman had lamented of domestic challenges that prompted her to killing the minors and herself.
Police have launched investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate Sunday’s incident.
