Thousands of residents from Isiolo and neighbouring counties have assembled at Isiolo Police Station in preparation to welcome former Prime Minister Raila Odinga who has just landed at Isiolo International Airport.
Mr Odinga who is in company of a host of governors and MPs is on a tour to popularize his presidential bid through his Azimio la Umoja slogan.
Among those expected at the event is Treasury CS Ukur Yattani, Laikipia Governor Nderitu Mureithi, his Mombasa counterpart Hassan Joho and several MPs from the Northern Kenya region.
A contingent of police officers continues to keep guard outside a mega tent as several others patrol the grounds and Isiolo town where the leader will later hold a rally.
