Two men have been arraigned and charged before a court in Nairobi for impersonating journalists from the Media Council of Kenya.
The court was told that Mr Fred Odanga Azelwa and Thomas Ochieng Owino on July 9 cheated the Senate Public Relations officer that they were members from MCK to gain access to the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.
Mr Odanga was found with a media card allegedly issued by the MCK.
Appearing before Milimani Senior Resident Magistrate David Ndungi, denied introducing themselves as MCK members to the senate official.
They denied giving false information, uttering a fake document and forgery charges and were each released on Sh50, 000 cash bail or Sh100, 000 bond.
The court set October 8 for mentioning the case.
