Tens of Teachers Service Commission (TSC) interns in Isiolo have lamented over unfairness in the recent recruitment exercise.

The majority of those who spoke to The Press Point said non-locals were left out adding that their concerns to relevant authorities were not addressed.

“It was pure favoritism as the majority of those picked were locals,” one of the teachers who sought anonymity complained saying it was unfortunate that such was happening in a cosmopolitan county.

The teachers said the requirement to recruit at least 30 percent of non-locals was flouted during the exercise.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta should intervene to ensure transparency so that selection is based on merit and not tribe. When will this tribalism end?” another posed.
