Police in Machakos are hunting down a group of criminals that robbed an Equity Bank Yatta branch in Matuu.
Reports indicate that the gang of three men ambushed police officers guarding the bank and disarmed them before entering the facility where they harassed customers and employees on Tuesday morning.
The criminals managed to walk away with the firearms and an unknown amount of money after the robbery incident that took about 12 minutes.
