Police have recovered more than 70 goats that were stolen during a bandit attack at Mwangaza area Tuesday night where two people sustained gunshot injuries.
Isiolo County Commissioner Herman Shambi said 74 of the 87 goats stolen by the armed men who shot a cleric and 14-year-old Class Seven Pupil had been recovered at Ariemet area in Burat ward by Wednesday evening.
An unknown number of suspects spotted within the area where the goats were recovered believed to have been watching over the animals managed to vanish into nearby bushes.
Mr Shambi however assured residents that the security team was committed to arresting all the criminals who were involved in the attack and recovering the firearms that were used to unleash terror.
“We have some leads we are following and are committed to arresting the criminals and recovering the firearms,” said Mr Shambi.
