A Form One student at a Secondary School in Nyeri strangely collapsed and died while heading to school from morning prayers at a nearby church.
Education officials said the girl was pronounced dead on arrival at Mukurwe-ini Level Four Hospital.
The Kaheti Girls Secondary student was not sick and had no medical complications, sources said adding that her body has been preserved at the hospital’s morgue awaiting post-mortem examination to reveal what killed her.
The last Monday incident has thrown the school and the deceased’s family into mourning.
