Daawa Muslim, Ndugu Zangu Integrated and Ramadhan primary schools are the best public schools in Isiolo, an analysis of recent KCPE results shows.

Garbatulla’s Daawa Primary that had 81 candidates in the 2020 KCPE exams posted the best results among public schools in the county after getting a Mean Grade of 335 marks up from 295 marks in 2019 results.

The overall performance of Ndugu Zangu Integrated Primary in Oldonyiro, which was second best public school, shot from 269 marks in 2019 to 325 marks in the last year’s KCPE exams making it among the most improved schools.

Following closely was Ramadhan Primary, located about 300 metres past Isiolo Referral Hospital, that posted a mean of 303.78 marks, a slight improvement from 303.33 marks in 2019.

Al-Mazuh Academy, private, topped the list of 119 primary schools in Isiolo with a mean of 379 marks up from 324 marks in previous year.

Another top private school was Little Angels Academy, which had 62 candidates, and recorded a mean of 370 marks, a drop with 2 marks in 2019.

2019’s giant Ikhlas Academy recorded a drop from 408 marks to 365 marks in 2020.

New Era Academy,sixth position, recorded an improvement from 324 marks in 2019 to 364 marks last year.

Private schools performed better than public ones as former had 17 schools in the top 20 primary schools in the county.
