Ex-Kenya Rugby Sevens player Alex Olaba was arrested last night for reportedly attempting to kill a key witness in an ongoing gang rape case he is facing with former teammate Frank Wanyama.
It is claimed that Mr Olaba had reached out to an assassin to carry out the killing, who informed police of the intended plan.
It is while he was waiting to meet the hitman in Nairobi West that detectives apprehended him.
He is currently before Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi.
