A man who reportedly defiled his 17-year-old daughter has been charged before a Nanyuki court in Laikipia County.
Joshua Kamau is said to have committed the act on diverse dates between 2019 and March this year at Kwa Mwea area in Kieni East, Nyeri County.
When he appeared before Nanyuki Resident Magistrate Vincent Masivo last Wednesday, the accused pleaded not guilty to incest and indecent act charges.
The court granted prayers by the prosecution team to have the suspect denied bail and bond for allegedly threatening the minor’s mother and ordered his continued detainment.
The case will proceed on April 6, 2021.
