As people across the world continue to make fun of each other on Fool’s Day, a couple in Meru broke up when the wife told his husband that one of their children was not his.
The man, in his 30s, who works in Murang’a County arrived at his home within Mitunguu area on Wednesday night only for his wife to tell him on Thursday morning that he was not the father to their last born son.
According to neighbours who heard the quarrels, the mother of two begged the man to forgive her as was only making fun but he refused and demanded that they break up.
“He did not understand that it was Fool’s Day and somewhat believed the information and thought his wife has been cheating on him,” a neighbour told Press Point.
Confused and regretting her action, the husband packed his stuff and left her weeping.
“He picked his clothes and a few stuff and rode on a motorbike as his wife continued begging for forgiveness,” another neighbour claimed.
