Police in Makueni are holding a Primary school teacher who allegedly sexually molested his pupil a week ago.

Mr Joseph Wambua in the company of his colleague, who is still on the run, were reportedly seen fondling two 13-year-old girls near a swimming pool in a Makueni based hotel.

Police reports indicate that Step Up Zion Academy had prepared a one-day outing for their Standard eight pupils ahead of the just-concluded KCPE exams.

Class eight teachers had been entrusted by the school management to accompany the pupils.

While at the hotel, Mr Wambua and Mr Mike Kioko are said to have been spotted by a female customer who was meters away from the swimming pool, keenly observing from her table, who reported to police via a phone call.

On arrival at the scene, detectives found the two committing the indecent act.

Mr Kioko managed to escape, while Mr Nduva was arrested and placed in custody.
